APECS is an organisation that aims to stimulate interdisciplinary and international research collaborations, in addition to developing effective future leaders in polar research, education and outreach.

It’s free and easy to join our community! — APECS Italy is the Italian branch of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists.

APECS is a voluntary organisation consisting of undergraduate, Master and PhD students, postdoctoral researchers and early faculty members who are interested in sharing their passion about the polar regions.

The aims of APECS Italy are:

• to foster interdisciplinary and international research collaborations
• to promote education and outreach about polar issues to younger generations and the general public
• to spread information about opportunities, events, courses
• to help develop the future leaders in polar research
